Adam Page and Nice Verdes

adam_page_may_fb.jpg
SATURDAY 29 MAY @ 7PM 3 course dinner & live entertainment for $59 per head Entertainment will open with Nice Verdes taking you on a journey through the many versatile styles of the guitar. Sally and Jesse play songs from Cuba using the guitar and the Cuban tres – including some cha cha cha, changuii, son and some forays to the Congo! The latter part of the evening will see performer Adam Page take to the stage. Adam is a master musician with a host of instruments in his repertoire and the creativity to craft more from obscure objects. His show won the Best Solo Show at the 2009 Wellington Fringe Festival in New Zealand and wowed crowds in Edinburgh in 2008. The show promises “one man, 15 instruments, one vegetable, so many possibilities”. Primarily a saxophone player, Adam displays his musical versatility with instruments such as the bass, flute, clarinet, keyboard, percussion, guitar, Mbira (African thumb piano), didgeridoo and nose flute, also adding beat boxing and Tuvan throat singing to the mix. Adam has various instruments recorded into a digital loop that he performs live with, getting more creative as the show progresses and making music from a pen, an asthma puffer and a carrot, which he transforms into a flute with the help of a drill! $59 includes entertainment 3 course dinner 7.30pm start Bookings essential limited seating RED POLES 8323 8994
